Mackinac Outfitter is Northern Michigan's premier seasonal outdoor retailer, proudly serving the north since 1982. We provide high-quality gear, apparel, and accessories for outdoor enthusiasts, with a mission to help ourcustomers explore and enjoy "Mackinac off Main."

Mackinac Outfitter is looking for both full-time and part-time Retail Sales Associates to work on the Island's one and only Outfitter for our 2026 Season. As a member of our Retail Team you will be responsible for:

• Engaging with customers
• Maintaining a well-organized and clean retail space
• Greeting customers and providing them with recommendations on products
• Unpacking product orders while maintaining accurate inventory records
• Completing daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping and dusting
• Familiarizing themselves with store inventory and expanding brand knowledge
• Replenishing store inventory from backstock
• Creating a welcoming and friendly store environment for customers
• Having fun!

Sales Associates will also be expected to:

• Maintain their position in the store April-October
• Provide required days off in advance of acceptance of employment
• Be authorized to work in the United States
• Follow the Mackinac Outfitter Employee Code of Conduct
  

Mackinac Outfitter is willing to work with students attending a college or university program; qualified candidates who can complete the full season (April-October) will receive employment priority.

Retail and/or seasonal employment experience is a plus, but not required. Mackinac Outfitter is open to anyone
who has a love for the outdoors, helping people, and doing cool stuff.
